Agent of Rommelu Lukaku discusses Chelsea transfer and Real Madrid ambitions

As Romelu Lukaku's agent has revealed, the Chelsea striker was determined to return to the Blues while he was still a Manchester United player in 2019.

Lukaku moved from Old Trafford to Inter that summer, scoring 64 goals in two seasons with the Nerazzurri before returning to Chelsea in an August £97.5m deal.

It had been his dream to score his first goal at Stamford Bridge since the age of 11, and now, Federico Pastorello has revealed that the move was on his client's mind more than two years before it actually happened.

Also, Pastorello mentioned Lukaku's desire to play for Real Madrid at some point in the future.

'The market offers you certain opportunities. I consider them like trains passing. When the right train stops at the right place, you need to jump on it,' the agent told Sky Sports.

It was clear that summer 2021 would be an important market for him. Three or four top clubs were looking for strikers, but there wasn't one for each club.

"During his last season at Manchester United, he always had Chelsea in his head. Also, I must admit, Real Madrid. Those are his other dreams in terms of imagining his career, but Chelsea was always his number one aim.

"They were the love of his childhood, so he always wanted to return. He had a question of pride in his head and heart."

Lukaku began his second Chelsea spell with four goals in four matches, but went six starts across Premier League and Champions League without finding the net again, before succumbing to injury.
