Columbus Crew obtained Australian global defender Milos Degenek via the 2023 MLS season with club alternatives for 2024 and 2025 after he left Red Star Belgrade in Serbia.

During his stint at Red Star Belgrade, Degenek recorded 132 appearances and lifted three consecutive league titles. He additionally made 12 appearances within the UEFA Champions League with the team, and 12 within the Europa League.
In 2019, Degenek competed for Al-Hilal Riyadh of Saudi Arabia’s First Division and inspired the side to win the AFC Champions League.
Internationally, he has been capped 33 instances by using Australia. He’s featured for the Socceroos for the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup, the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.
