Ronald Koeman was sacked and Barca have chosen Xavi to replace him. Laporta has let Xavi deal with his own departure so that Barca do not have to pay the Qataris any compensation.
Xavi has an excelent relationship with Al Sadd and Barcelona are confident that they will not have to pay a single euro for making Xavi terminate his contract early. Xavi is working on that right now.
According to 'AS', Xavi has a meeting this Friday with the Sheikh who owns Al Sadd, Mohammed bin Hamad Royal. The owner of the club wants him to be in charge of the club until at least 3rd November.
Xavi will be willing to hold off until that date. His plan is to leave on 4th November to go to the Camp Nou. That is what Xavi will tell the Sheikh in the meeting this Friday.
