Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists Man Utd have had 'good week' of training since Liverpool defeat

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has insisted that his squad have had a ‘good week’ on the training pitch in the wake of losing 5-0 to Liverpool last weekend.

The humiliating result put pressure on Solskjaer like never before, but he survived widespread public calls to be sacked and has been given time to turn things around.

Putting the Liverpool result behind him and getting a positive response from the players against Tottenham on Saturday are absolutely crucial.

A big part of the criticism against Liverpool was that United appeared to have not learned any lessons from games against Leicester and Atalanta. Harry Maguire has already said that things have finally been taken on board, and Solskjaer has now said United have ‘worked on everything’.

“We've had a good week, a good week on the training field, I have to say that,” the United boss said as he faced the probe of the media on Friday.
