Pundit takes issue with Graeme Souness Kane verdict but Tottenham boss in crosshairs

Former Liverpool star Danny Murphy disagrees with Graeme Souness and feels the rest of the Tottenham players plus the manager need to help Harry Kane overcome his struggles to make sure the England striker rediscovers his best form.

Kane and his Spurs team-mates were woeful in a 3-0 defeat to Manchester United on Saturday. Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford scored the goals as United bounced back from their Liverpool thrashing. The north Londoners failed to register a single shot on target and the atmosphere in the ground turned toxic.

The jury is still out on manager Nuno Espirito Santo. And he felt the wrath of the home faithful when replacing Lucas Moura with Steven Bergwijn in the second half.

The knives are out for Nuno while the media have slated the Spurs players. Souness was among the dissenting voices.

The former Liverpool player and manager pulled no punches in his assessment of Kane and his team-mates.
