Neymar's soccer career began in 2003 when he joined Santos FC's youth academy. He made his professional debut for Santos in 2009 at the age of 17. In 2011, he helped Santos win the Copa Libertadores, South America's premier club tournament.

 

In 2013, Neymar transferred to FC Barcelona for a transfer fee of €57.1 million, making him the most expensive Brazilian football player of all time. He played for Barcelona for four seasons, winning multiple domestic and international titles, including the UEFA Champions League in 2015.

 

In August 2017, Neymar transferred to Paris Saint-Germain for a world-record transfer fee of €222 million. He played for PSG for four seasons, winning multiple domestic titles and helping the team reach the final of the UEFA Champions League in 2020. He currently plays for PSG.

 

In addition to his club success, Neymar has also represented the Brazilian national team since 2010, winning the Copa America in 2019 and helping Brazil reach the final of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
