Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has declared Naby Keita ready for their Premier League outing against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.
After scoring the opening goal in Liverpool's 5-0 hammering of Manchester United last Sunday, Keita was at the receiving end of a horror tackle from Paul Pogba at Old Trafford.
The 26-year-old was subsequently stretchered off in pain on the hour-mark while Pogba was shown a straight red card as punishment after a VAR review.
Keita missed the Reds’ League Cup triumph over Preston North End in mid-week, but Klopp has delivered a positive update on his condition as they look to stretch their unbeaten Premier League run to 10 matches against Brighton at Anfield.
“Naby Keita looks good; we were all surprised, but he was obviously lucky so I think he will be ready,” Klopp said in a press conference on Friday.
