Aaron Ramsdale’s incredible heroics for Arsenal on Saturday had a plethora of pundits hailing the England keeper – with one legendary stopper labelling his save from James Maddison as ‘the best he had seen in years’.
Eyebrows were raised when the Gunners brought in Ramsdale for an initial £24m over the summer. The England keeper – twice relegated from the Premier League – was one of their more significant summer signings. However, replacing the more-than-competent Bernd Leno saw some question Mikel Arteta’s wisdom.
However, since making his debut for the Gunners, Ramsdale has not looked back and been a solid presence for Arsenal.
He has played a big part in their recent revival and put in an eye-catching display as Leicester were beaten 2-0. You can see our Player Ratings from the King Power Stadium here.
