FIFPro announce 23-participant shortlists for ladies and men's World XI

FIFPro have unveiled their 23-player shortlists for their annual global XI choice, with Liverpool's Mohamed Salah the very best profile omission on the men's listing.

Ten Premier League players are in rivalry, with European champions Chelsea having 4 players nominated - Edouard Mendy, Jorginho, N'Golo Kante and Romelu Lukaku.

Man Utd have Portuguese duo Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes at the shortlist, at the same time as Kevin De Bruyne and Ruben Dias from opponents Man City have been nominated.

All three of Paris Saint-Germain's big name forwards - Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar - are on the list.
