LAFC has named Marco Antonio Garces as their first ever director of soccer operations.
He joins the Los Angeles group after eleven years with Liga MX aspect Pachuca, wherein he served as wearing director, chief scout and director of soccer and game sciences.
“I am extremely satisfied with the possibility to work with LAFC and in Major League Soccer,” Garces said in a release. “I look forward to bringing my mix of revel in working with Mexican and European gamers of every age to Los Angeles. During Garces’ management, Pachuca won the 2016 Liga MX name, 2017 Concacaf Champions League and managed 1/3 vicinity at the 2017 Club World Cup.
He also supervised the report-breaking transfers of Hirving 'Chucky' Lozano and Erick Gutierrez to PSV Eindhoven and of Hector Herrera to FC Porto.
The former Mexican global player had stints in Europe, running for Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester United.
