Newcastle ready to pounce as Tottenham decide top star can leave in January

Tottenham are reportedly ready to allow top Newcastle target Dele Alli to leave the club when the transfer window reopens in January.

The attacking midfielder was back in favour under new boss Nuno Espirito Santo at the start of the season. However, he is now being frozen out again and was not even included in the squad for the Carabao Cup win at Burnley, along with Harry Winks.

PSG, who are managed by former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, were strongly linked with the 25-year-old back in January and over the summer. However, Daniel Levy decided at the time that he didn’t want to lose one of the club’s top assets.

But things have changed over the last few weeks, with The Athletic stating that Levy is now open to a sale.

Alli only started 16 games in all competitions last term, but under Nuno his form appeared to be coming back.
