"Vinicius used to support Barça, he cried with the 6-1 comeback against PSG"

Before Vinicius signed for Real Madrid, it was reported by many media outlets that Barcelona was close to completing the signing of the young Brazilian winger. What was never reported before was Vinicius preference between the two Spanish giants.

According to Andre Cury, Vinicius got excited and even cried with Barcelona's historic 6-1 comeback against PSG in the Champions league. Andre Cury was Barcelona's former chief scout in Brazil, a job that now belongs to Deco.

"Vinicius used to support Barça. He cried with Barça's 6-1 comeback against PSG, he was a proper Barcelona fan", said Cury for 'Cadena SER'.

"Vinicius to Barcelona was a done deal. Both of his agents were great friends of mine", said Cury on the Spanish radio. "The deal was closed, the only thing left was Vinius' signature on the contract, but in the very last moment, my friends betrayed me and my club. I haven't talked to them since that happened back in 2017".

Cury also discussed Neymar's signing. "Neymar signed because he loved the club. It was really difficult to sign him. If he didn't love Barcelona he would be playing somewhere else. Real Madrid offered him 100 million more".
