"Hazard? If he wants to leave Madrid, he has to leave"

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti admitted at a press conference that if Belgian striker Eden Hazard wanted to leave the club in the winter transfer window he would not force him to stay and said that "if you want to leave, you have to leave".

The Italian coach confirmed his full confidence in Brazilian Vinicius, who has relegated Hazard to the bench and to a lesser role. Asked about the Belgian's role and the possibility of him asking to leave Real Madrid, Ancelotti left a clear message.

"It's clear that we have to take into account the thinking of each player in general, never in my career as a coach have I not forced a player who wants to leave to stay. If you want to leave, you have to leave," he told a press conference.

The accumulation of games and the fatigue Vinicius has shown in the last two matches will not lead to him being rested, his coach admitted.

"I think Vinicius is fine, he's very young and recovers better than others. On the physical side, the day he has problems or doesn't maintain his level of form, he could be benched, but for now we are satisfied with him, with his performances and he will continue unless he is rested or doesn't maintain his level," he admitted.
