Carlo Ancelotti slams 'lack of respect' shown to Ronald Koeman in Camp Nou incident

Carlo Ancelotti has criticised the people who mobbed Ronald Koeman's car after the Clasico on Sunday, claiming the scenes showed 'a problem within society'.

The two former Everton managers faced off on Sunday as Ancelotti's Real Madrid won at Camp Nou, condemning Koeman's Barcelona to their latest defeat.

After the fixture, former Netherlands boss Koeman attempted to leave Barça's ground but was confronted by people who swarmed the car, with a serious lack of security measures in place.

The former defender has admitted he considered confronting those who mobbed his car, revealing: "There was a moment I thought about getting out, but then I thought I better not. I understand people aren't happy but you don't expect that. There's a lot of 'Tik Tok' and they want you to get involved with them.

"At the end of the day, it's a societal problem, an education problem, people without values. It wasn't just me, it was other players and their families [receiving abuse] too. It also happened to Carles Puyol."
