Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood turned into on Sunday afternoon arrested over rape and assault accusations.
The claims surfaced on Sunday morning whilst a woman posted on social media photos and films reporting incidents of bodily violence.
A police announcement released in response to the allegations read;
"We can confirm a man in his 20s has because been arrested on suspicion of rape and assault".
